UN Global Pulse Challenge Visualization

UN Global Pulse Challenge Visualization

The UN Global Pulse survey provides subjective, sloppy, human data that offers a rich picture of the hopes and struggles of the participants. In fact, I found this data far more powerful than the easier-to-quantify multiple choice responses. For this reason, I included exemplar quotes from the Global Pulse data set alongside self-tagged categorizations of the changes made (or lack thereof) by the participants.

My visualization also presents both global and regional perspectives, as well as historical context, a topological map, and photographs that support the narrative suggested by the Global Pulse data, whether Uganda's determined optimism or Iraq's pained warfare stasis.
