The pandemic H1N1 virus was the one with the fastest growing of all times, reaching a pandemic level 6 (highest risk of infection) in just two months. The global network of flights has contributed deeply to spread the virus around the world in tight timescale. The study of the relationship between the volume of world air traffic and the transmission of the virus, in events of this magnitude, it could provided useful information to better understanding and manage the risks of our globalized world even terroristic ones.
