Forest area (sq. km) against Renewable internal freshwater resources per capita
As can be seen from the bubble plot, there exists a strong correlation between forest area and renewable internal freshwater resources per capita. Size of the bubble represents the CO2 emissions (kilo tons). With this interpretation, we see that the Middle East countries like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, and UAE have less than 28,000 km square of forest cover area and less than 100 cubic meters freshwater per capita. Iceland and Greenland are outliers – they have the highest values for freshwater resources available per capita despite a small forest cover.
