Diet and Causes of Mortality
The China Study data contains diet and causes of mortality in China and is the basis of a best selling book by the same name. The China Study book advises people that eating any meat was found to be harmful to health. However, by visualizing a bigger picture of the data set, we can see how correlations compare to each other. On the main page, for example, we can see that not meat, but wheat is by far the staple food with the highest correlation to heart disease and that meat is actually negatively correlated to diabetes. Seeing the big picture of the data set allows us to answer the question, "compared to what" so that we can better understand which foods are correlated with which causes of death.
