This is a Flash-based graphing & mapping application visualizing the strength of the U.S. economy, with breakouts on gdp, jobs, house prices, inflation and income. The application pairs up public national, regional and state data from both government and non-government sources. It shows all historical data available, is updated live as the data is released, offers a glossary so users can understand what the data means, and allows users to download the data in Excel format. The application was custom built by an editorial team within CQ-Roll Call Group, the premier political news and information provider covering the U.S. Congress. The graphing and mapping components are fully-reusable Flash APIs.
