The Choice: 2012 Presidential Election

This is an interactive visualization of the 2012 U.S. Presidential Election. The latest state-level poll data and the historical chart data are obtained from Huffington Post API each time you refresh your browser. The historical chart for individual candidates is illustrated as a series of bars on the left. The latest state-level data is also shown on the corresponding state of the U.S. territories. If you move the cursor over a bar, its specific data will be shown. Each color represents an individual candidate and the height indicates estimates. The volume of a half dome indicates the size of the electoral votes in the state. The opacity indicates how popular the candidate is in the state. You can drag the earth to see other parts or zoom in/out using the mouse scroller.
